wow, stunning...

one thing though, next to the RGB Spectrum Drop down menu it should read "transmission" instead of "RGB Spectrum" right? ;)

hey Radiance, is this a bug or what... i tried to reproduce and didn't succeed. but i want this effect. This is allso a request, can you make a 2sided node for the normal direction and a blend tecture tu mix those two... this way we can mimic the effect of translucency.

this tutorial is an example of what i mean.

Hi,

It's not a bug, it's a feature, you just need to make a diffuse material node, connect it to your material input on your object node, and connect a texture or rgb spectrum to the transmission input, then you can play with the sliders of both reflection and transmission to get the desired effect.
also, you must enable pathtracing to see the effect as directlighting does'nt show it.

P.S. Can you do a render with a whole tree in a shot?

Just in case this doesn't go unnoticed, although it's minor, perhaps it was not clear what I meant :P... In the node inspector, where all the material channels read "diffuse" "bump" "normal" etc... in the first image (the screenshot), where it should read "transmission" it reads "RGB Spectrum"... cheers!

n1k sure, let's post here our results :) I'll try to make some full tree shots later and maybe some bush scenes.

Proupin, I think I know what U're talking about hehe. In my case Octane sometimes displays (in material tab) diffuse or transmission or RGB spectrum sign, don't really know why. The point is to have two float/rgb sliders, one above the another and be sure one controls diffuse color, and the other shader's transmission.

Radiance thanks for info :)
