That sounds like a good idea. If Lionel could at least put the minimum build number that would help.

Objects without material are the issue. I made some wild copy/paste from wavefront exporter in order to catch up with internal changes in blender, thus removing some specific fixes I implemented to be more Octane-friendly (remember the "fixed material to <None> messages....? :-) ).

In doubt, check the mtl file: if you see a line with only "newmtl" on it, you'll probably have issues...

Just posted v1.16 (see 1st post of this thread).

The exporter will now detect objects without a material assigned and will create a dummy (black glossy) one named Null. This way Octane will no more crash or display material-less object.

Hi Guys, I posted this in the gallery but wanted to post it here also as it was made completely with Octane and Blender using Lionel's plugin. Thanks again Lionel, This wouldn't have been possible without the plugin.

Is it just me or has the exporter stopped working with the latest SVN? I have 45133 and I get an error every time I try to render.
