beautiful and powerful
but I see cleaned noise on the floor end on the metal parts.
when I remove the noise often the materials lose the shine and I think it happened here too
24000 samples in 1,5 hours with 4 GTX580???impressive to me!!!!!
and then there are too many vertices for my pc!! is already tired ...

thank you,
except for walls, floor and ceiling all objects are instanced 8-16 times about (chairs, desks, books, laptops, computers, etc.)
the kernel used is "direct light"
The pictures outside the windows are planes with texture emitter
The interior is not illuminated by the spot lamps on the ceiling, the light comes from the hdr map that wrap the scene.
To get a much more clean render we need 32.000 samples at the resolution of 2560x1440 (rendering time 3-4 hours about)
With pmc and ies lights enabled we need 16-20 hours of render. (4XGTX580 - 1.3KW)
I'm waiting for faster Nvidia gpus and new Otoy denoising algorithms.

I don't think so....we need faster hardware.Rickky wrote:or the next Arion 2.0 …
the combination of gpu+cpu will not help us.
The only way to achieve better performance is to enable distributed render across networked gpus.
Then I will use all my gpus to render one single image.
