Sam, better known as Ray Tracey, has a passion for real-time photorealistic rendering on the GPU. In March, Radiance announced that Sam would become the new product manager for OctaneRender. We are very pleased to make that a reality as of today.
He has followed both OTOY and OctaneRender since their respective debuts, and was in large part responsible for making OctaneRender a part of OTOY. He is also managing OTOY's other rendering efforts, including Brigade development for real time path traced games.
Sam maintains a popular blog which is followed by 3D enthusiasts from all over the planet. You can check it out here: http://raytracey.blogspot.com/
We are very excited to have him in New Zealand as part of our growing team. To all our community members who have eagerly waited for our new additions, please help us welcome Ray Tracey!
