Haha!
No wonder i couldn't find it :P

So far i have tried the 197.13 dev, 197.13 WHQL, and the 197.25 Beta drivers with no luck.

Im sure a solution will be found :)

Could this be an issue that is specific to Vista 64 perhaps?
I noticed i am the only person in this thread with that particular OS.

I also tried the x86 beta demo with the same results. :/

Yea that was me :)
I usually do a fresh install every 6 months (the most recent install was just over a month ago)
The thing is that every other program i run day to day is ok...even xNormal which has a Cuda renderer runs ok.
Do you know of a way to test an install to see if it is broken without reinstalling?

I have the same problem.
I'm running windows vista 64bit, GTX260, 7Gb.
I originally had the 197.13_desktop_win7_winvista_64bit_english.exe installed and Octane crashed.
Used driver sweeper to remove any leftovers, installed the dev drivers and Octane still crashes.

Hi guys, maybe try installing the latest drivers available from the main nvidia site.
There is'nt much i can do about this. if cuda 3.0 gives issues with your drivers, try the latest ones...

Thanks Radiance,

I'll try going back to an older driver and see if that works.
Its strange that Octane 81a worked but not this one.

cheers

Thanks for the replys guys.
Looks like its something to do with the Vista 64bit drivers then ,seeing as that both Javadevil and I use that OS and are having the same problem :/
Hopefully it gets fixed in a future driver update.

@Radiance
Is there anyway that you can test if it is a Vista 64bit problem?

Thanks for looking!
