FYI:
I was setting octane material opacity levels with Autokey on but keyframes were not appearing in the timeline.
I checked filter settings etc. and reverted back to the scanline render to see if standard material opacity changes were appearing in the timeline and they were.
I switched back to rendering with Octane and then tried changing the material assigned to the object and found that opacity changes for the new material were appearing as keys on the timeline.
A little later it also looked as if one of the materials that hadn't been cooperating was now showing its opacity keys on the timeline, but I couldn't get the other one to appear (red balloon from the LiveDB). As a work-around I ended up switching to another material that was cooperating.
I'm using the 2.58e Max plugin.
Animated material opacity not always appearing as keyframes

One more thing: I noticed that if I right click on the keyframe that is set, it doesn't show the name of what property has been animated.
Instead it titles it "??", which is the same regardless of what material property has been animated.

I have fixed the names. Wait for a new release.buggy wrote:One more thing: I noticed that if I right click on the keyframe that is set, it doesn't show the name of what property has been animated.

Thank you. It did work for me too but there was a period of time when the opacity settings weren't appearing as keyframes. Anyhow, I got it to work so I'm not going to worry about it.
If I see it again the next time I need to animate opacity I'll let you know.
