Hi Gabriele,
PSU - ThermalTake ToughPower 1500w
MB - Gigabyte X58A-UD7
GPUs - Asus
If I use all 4, my PC resets at about 90 yes, if i use only 3 of them all is well.
I tested with Iray, 4 gpus are rendering fine, but i havent done an extensive test.
I am suspecting that im having this issue because one of the 8pin connectors on one of the cards is being powered by an adaptor to a 6 pin, im looking online to buy an 8pin adapter, but at the same im doubtful that this is the issue because i noticed that when i dont connect one of the power lines, the geforce sign on the card blinks, indicating that there is a power shortage..but as it is now, it doenst blink.
thx for Replying
Nildo

I am happy that I could improve your situation a little bit.
GPUs shut down when there are too hot, but I don't think the GPU is the cause here. Usually the can suffer up to 100 degrees and more (of course I don't recommend this for long term).
But there are other parts that could be affected by the temperature in the case.
I would test the following:
1. Open the case, put a fan in front and check if it will render longer. If so, it could be that the northbridge or southbridge or cpu temps are too high.
2. I would install a tool to check the motherboard (northbridge,...) and cpu temps.
3. It could be that the PSU gets too hot and shuts down to prevent damage. Try to cool it with an additional fan and try a different rail combination if there is a combination left that you didn't check before.
4. Get a watt meter (around 15 €) to check the energy consumption. Check if there is a connection between energy consumption and system failure / reboot.
If the system reboots when the watt consumption increases it will be the PSU most probably.
5. Remove other parts that consume energy temporaly (Ram blocks, DVD rom,...) and check if the rendering works better.
6. Borrow and test a different PSU like Enermax 1200 or 1500 Watts.
I belive it is a energy or heat problem.
Good luck.
