I bet RS will start to do things faster from now, since Otoy will pressure them (not that I want them to be) to finish this asap; it's not like every single other renderer won't go to the cloud sooner or later...

I'm going to need a lot of resources for calculating my Lamborghini animation.
Thank you.
Niuq.
Maybe ask some forum guys here with their small render farms. I'm sure they can jump in for a small fee.

The exporters on the other hand export the scene from the modeling application to open it in Octane Standalone.

100 pro users like me need the power of 8 Teslas to produce (every day) 2 high resolution and complex renders at 3500x2500 in 8-10 hours.
If I want to render my 3500x2500 printable image in ONE minute I need the power of:
2.400 Teslas...fired for one minute.
For 100 pro users Otoy needs 24.000 Tesla gpus to render at the same moment 100 high resolution renders in one minute.
On the 4th quarter 2012 probably we will see the new Teslas. The New Teslas will be 3x faster than the GTX580.
Example2 (in 2013)
For 100 pro users Otoy needs 8000 Tesla gpus to give us realtime feedback of high resolution renders.
Probably my file will go in the queue list and I will wait 99 minutes. In this case Otoy will need only 800 gpu and we will say bye bye realtime.
Otoy: don't buy now any Tesla, just focus on software.
Yes This is a good alternative, but that would require me to share the source files, isn't it?
