you don't do that...
you load the OCS, and relink the new OBJ with the relinking button, at the end of the meshnode,
in a similar way than reloading a different image in an image texture node...

I like the new sunlight implementation very much but I've noticed this version seems to produce many more and persistant fireflies - like dust... Perhaps its just my imagination they are much worse? How can I minimise them?

just use the trick provided in the 'how to render perfect renders for our competition' sticky post in the resources forum.
MLT will solve this in next version.
