blender 2.63 exporting as obj

I found a thread among this forum with a screenshot of how to export but it does not work because octane still crashes when importing. It would be nice to see an up-to-date screenshot fo how to export from blender. Also one of the reasons that I bought Octane was that it was supposed to have plugins or better exporters for blender. What are the chances of there being an integrated plugin for blender (2.6x).

A community developed blender plugin can be found here:

Just note that this is not an official octane team developed plugin (we do not have one at the moment). It has been kindly created by a member of the community.

If you could please post your scene I will take a look at exporting it and see what i can do.

Thank you. I also found that thread. Th scene was literally text converted to a mesh and a sub-surf of 1 on it.

I have just tried that (text converted to a mesh with subsurf lvl1) with the default obj export options and it has worked ok for me.
Have you made sure the text has a material applied to it in blender?

I am running blender v2.63 and my default obj export settings are:
All options off except Apply Modifiers, Include Edges, Include UV's, Write Materials, Objects as OBJ Objects.

Scale 1.00
Forward: -Z Forward
Up: Y up
Path Mode: Auto
