Camera twisting when animating but not on stills

This is strange. I have a scene I motion tracked and am inserting some things into. The preview looks great and when I save out stills from the Octane plug-in window they line up great. As soon as I hit Render in the Max dialog, the still is rotated (see attached, green line is for reference) Same camera, same scene the only difference is:
1) Select the save image button in Octane window -> Clones viewport to Max Frame Buffer, hit save ->Image is fine
2) Set animation length to single or duration click render -> Renders in Max Frame Buffer crooked

Am I missing something? Has this happened to anyone else? Is my scene corrupted in some way?
