Sorry............
but the dev of the plugin is a complete joke!
But hey..... the c4d user did their job to test the early versions of octane
and made enough example images to promote this product.
Now they are no longer needed.
The same **** as with maxwell and fry!

Cinema 4D..is lost..
plugins are developed by 3rd parties, the problem must be finding someone who can/wants to develop a plugin for C4D
Win 7 64bits / Intel i5 750 @ 2.67Ghz / Geforce GTX 470 / 8GB Ram / 3DS Max 2012 64bits

There are quite a few companies that make custom plug-ins for C4D, they just have to be approached by Refractive. As for Autodesk not caring less, I would disagree since they are probably their biggest competitor.

i didn't know about the relationsship with autodesk. makes me also a bit nervous. getting 3d models from revit architecture (autodesk) to cinema 4d is a very difficult & stupid task! i m sure its not by accident that the 3ds-export from autocad has disapeared!
i can hardly believe that autodesk will support a real c4d-plugin.
.....hope there is still some room for hope!

Otoyo has nothing to do with Autodesk they just do stuff for them, that doesn't mean Autodesk has to say anything at all regarding Octane.

Why hasn't Refractive asked Black Star to integrate Octane into C4D, their recent work on M4D proves they are capable, and they say they are available?mainframefx wrote:Otoyo has nothing to do with Autodesk they just do stuff for them, that doesn't mean Autodesk has to say anything at all regarding Octane.
