karba, is the best optinion for Octane.
Cosmos II, Asrock 79 extreme 11, Intel i7-3930K 4.40 GHz, 32gb Ram Quad 2.400 OC., 2 Drives Intel SSd 520 240gb Raid 0, 1 Gtx 580 3 gb + 3 Gtx 590 4Gb.

Nice to see use of this option in real life.
Oh I use it daily and have a smile on my face everytime because I know how long it took before with a unneddd export every frame. :)

hmm. so I just worked out why my frames were taking so long. If you use pro optimizer in max it seems to cause a re process geometry every frame. Which sucked.
Then I discover that little tick box for 'update animation geometry'

argghhhh

least I know it's there now.

So it still needs to process geometry if something (rather than a camera position) changes though?
