Hi, I export all my models from Cinema 4D. All materials are generated without nodes – they just show up in the right panel when I click on the object node. I find it really frustrating that if I decide I want to use nodes, for example when importing textures from the Live DB and using them as part of Material Mix nodes, I have to completely re-create the material in node form.
Does this bother anyone else? I'm sure it wouldn't be that difficult to implement.
Thanks!!

In the 2.58c release you can cut the node in the node inspector and paste it in the node graph editor. You can also paste nodes in the node inspector. Right click in the area at the left side of the sliders (where the color swatch is for RGB nodes) to bring up the context menu.
