You need to setup a 3dsmax script with come with standalone version. But it is completely separate with the plugin.

thanks. But wheres the link. I just downloaded the OctaneRender_COM_1025_beta257_win_x64 version and theres no script, but only this only exe file.

Wheres the link for downloading the script for 3dsmax? Its hidden? Its not clear for me. Thanks.

In the thread MAX2Octane exporter for max 2010+, also on this forum, you can download the exporter. You may need to scroll down or go to the second page.
