I am putting together my new rig and I'm thinking about having a Quadro for display (Quadro 5000) and a couple of GTX580 for GPU rendering.
Even though I think that Quadros are wayyyyyy overpriced I sincerely appreciate their performance when it comes to CAD softwares like 3DsMax, therefore the Quadro is more mandatory than an option.
I've read on this forum that Quadros and GeForces drivers are conflictual, however I've also read that it can be worked out with a few efforts and I can see that member Pixelrush have both Quadro and GTX in his/her rig.
So my question is quite simple, how much of a pain is it to have these different cards in the same system?

I have a Quadro 2000 and a geforce 570 in the same pc and it works fine. The Quadro does horribly in Octane though but it works fine in 3dsmax.
I never had any problems with conflicting drivers, rather I found it to work together quite well. In my experience the quadro performance boost drivers are always late and in max 2012 I dont have much of a performance benefit (granted I have the 2000 instead of the 5000).
