Yeah I must admit my enthusiasm for Octane is steadily draining away again. I see the spam is back with a vengeance too.
Honestly unless Otoy can convincingly up their game soon I am pretty unlikely to buy v2.
While things ought to have got better business wise when Refractive was sold, not a lot seems to have changed.
Communication certainly hasn't improved. No new staff. No sign of any simple user requests like copy/paste being actioned after 2 years of asking. No 3dmax demo first said to be arriving about last Xmas time. No beta updates for quite a long time....
I dont think radiance has even signed in here in about 2 weeks. There eventually comes a time when you say 'enough' wasting of your effort and move on

Communication actually worsened to the point of non-existence, since the Otoy takeover. Which is the thing that undermines confidence.

I can understand difficulties in coding & lengthy development of new features, but give us some info / updates on what's going on. Stop ignoring your users (which are also your beta-testers, investors, part-time support personnel & promoters), acknowledge user questions / feature requests, give us updates on development so it becomes clear where are we standing and what can we expect.

RS should now start to look like a serious business, instead it feels more like it fits into a garage or backyard.

A company forum floated with spam, costumers questioning what the hell is going on with the product aka this company, a beta deal with no beta's to test 4 a long time now???? Are they expecting new costumers to fly in...the whole thing is starting to look like a private hobby project that never will be finished anyway....well at least Radiance got extremely rich, that's what really counts in the end!

Octane is dying? I've seen a similar situation for a 2d graphics software: a few monts of incontrolled spam, then nothing.
