Ptex anytime soon?

Hello, I was wondering if you guys intend to imply Ptex to Octane, I just brought Octane and the Plugin for max It is great and fast but if Ptex was involved it would be even faster for my productions.

Hi sorry you didnt get a reply.
I am not sure ptex could be made to work in with Octane easily, since its vector rather than bitmap.
You could ask for it to be added to the wish list but it might be a long time coming.

What about live texture update, I have been using Photoshop to edit my textures and I have to click refresh everytime I update my texture, The more I use Octane the more I find out it needs.

There is now quite a long list of things users have requested to make like easier from their experience with Octane over the last 2 years.
So far Refractive have concentrated on delivering key functionality and of late, plugins.
I would like to think as we get closer to the final v1.0 they could do a beta release specifically to catch up with some of the more frequently asked for usability enhancements.
Keep sending in your requests in the hope something may eventuate but don't expect to see anything happen soon, its just the way things are here, as frustrating as that is.
