Oh, and I'd also kill for spherical camera like the one with vray.

Till now.. one i see..
BUG:
after creating camera, when youre about to move the camera max hangs when you move it through its view. ALL the time.

WISHLIST:
- support for MENTAL RAY AND MAX STANDARD MATERIALS and maps (like CHECKER, for example)!! ;
- MAX hair support
- MAX FX support

Is anybody mentioned about proxies? I'd like to see octane proxies.

Also there is no timer in octane render window like in standalone version.

It is important (for me) to see textures in the viewport.

BUG:
When trying to add a material, max freezes when I click any of the octane materials from the list
Could be because I'm using a 680 ? But I thought this was before that.

roughness parameter in specular material is very sensitive/

Hi, I have problems with the Octane Camera when I try to use it in the camera-view, 3dsmax11 crash ?
I've repeated with many test but still the same result, help help help !

Do you use a Space Navigator.
For some reason there is a conflict with this device.

I will try to fix it.

Yes I do use the space Navigator... and I confirm that it works when it's unplugged.
It would be great it this could be fixed soon.

Just installed Octane for max today.

I managed to make 3ds crash following this scenario :
- create a scene, set octane as renderer
- open the octane viewport
- set a Texture Environment to the environment background / drag&drop the texture to the material editor to edit it
- switch the type to texture and set a Image Texture
- load an hdr map
- do some stuff, add some teapots, assign materials..and so on
- open the mat editor again and click on the bitmap "path" to change it => crash

it may not crash the first time but it will crash at some point either when clicking on the bitmap "path" button or when selecting an hdr map in the explorer window. Note that the hdr maps were at least 3000*1500px.

The scenario is not precisely reproducible, but 3ds always crashed at the same step (without any error message, just crash to desktop)
