I do know there are some people here who own and run a studio that uses Octane in there render pipeline, which is why I would like to ask a few questions regarding to a workplace practise class I'm taking.
Questions:
How do you calculate overtime and part time work - since different countries have different salaries for a standard working day?
Do you pay by a hourly rate or by the job satisfaction of the scene?
Does the type of gender, experience or cultural aspects[race] take any account in employee participation, opinion or rights.
How do you calculate overtime and part time work - since different countries have different salaries for a standard working day? We do a workcontract where salary is fixed per month. overtime in leading position is not payed. overtime for "normal" workers is paied by money or by more sparetime. we only have employers from our country. if we give jobs to other countries we define a fix price per job.
Do you pay by a hourly rate or by the job satisfaction of the scene? See above. And if someone is not good enough he will not get employed by us.
Does the type of gender, experience or cultural aspects[race] take any account in employee participation, opinion or rights. No, if someone does a good job and is a good teamworker. But all our employers are from our country or a country close to us with the same culture. Cultural differences can be very difficult
The role of OHS & W ?
Educational Requirements for joining your studio Generally no, if someone is good
People with a good artistic educational background mostly are better than the selfmade-artists. But there are also very good selfmade-artists and very bad but well educated artists.

I hope this is what you wanted to know
Kind regards

Cheers mate,
The role of OHS is "Occupational Health And Safety" such as do you have any rules, training or restrictions when it comes to operating certain machines, in this case, dealing with render farms or with computer hardware, do you have a practise when it comes to someone getting hurt or is someone not allowed to do a certain thing due to inexperience.
