does this also mean that octane is going to use the new cuda 3.0 and does that mean I can also work with octane on my notebook with the nvidia gtx 285m?

I will probably release beta2 with cuda 3.0 yes, if all works with it.
No idea about the GTX285M compatibility though.

Radiance, 2 weeks ago you said that you wanted to contact nvidia because of the missing GTX 285M drivers? Did you and if yes what was there answer?

I love Amsterdam so much, makes me want a floating house to build my studio in
And the girls doing bicycle in the summer... wonderfull :mrgreen:

first of all, now that i'm using cuda 3.0, HDR maps take half the space than before yay ;)
2nd, it will be the default for beta2, including the mac build (which is working ! yay)

That's because the HDR take less space in 64bit memory or what ?
Im ready to test the mac build on a fresh snow leopard install ;)

Just HDRs, or all image textures, or everything in general takes up less memory? Either way that is very good news for us all.

So does that mean we are all installing new drivers for beta2?
