Since blender is in constant development i was wondering what version was supported. Are cycles materials supported. looking for a general answer. I want to purchase it but is the an educational version. I also see that there is a special version for max. Any chance of seeing that for blender or MAYA?
PS: is DOF physically accurate. Is there bokeh? Render Passes?

Hi there! OctaneRender(R) can render scenes from the recent blender builds provided that the scene is correctly exported and then imported into OctaneRender(R). There are unofficial exporter plugins/scripts that do this in forum but the area is restricted to licensed customers. The unofficial plugins are not necessarily supported by RS Ltd.
Also, as of this time, we don't have educational licenses.
The special version for 3dsmax(R) is one of the official plugins. Please note that for this plugin to run, there must also be a licensed OctaneRender(R) standalone version installed on the same machine. There are currently five more official plugins still still coming. In the meantime, please feel free to download the free demo to evaluate the software and see if it suits your needs.
