Hey Guys, I am just migrating over to a new workflow staying inside of 3ds max to render and I am having trouble figuring out the camera settings in 3ds max. Right now, after setting up my scene, I add an octane camera, open rendering window then switch back to my perspective viewport and then switch to the octane camera. It switches the render view in the octane viewport then promptly crashes. Am I missing something? I couldnt find any related post so any help is greatly appreciated. -abe

I always create a camera only for walkthroughs and to examine lights and materials...I use the walkthrough option, it's better to navigate the scene using arrow keys.
I don't switch between the Octane camera and the perspective camera (viewport), probably switching between the Octane camera and the viewport camera Max crashes.

thanks....how do you adjust FOV with just the basic camera controls in the render setup dialog? Is there another way?

yesterday I did a test switching between the floating Octane frame buffer and the viewport Octane frame buffer....Max crashes....it's a bug. I will add it in the bug list.

To change the fov of your Octane camera press c from your keyboard and a list of cameras will appears. In the right Max modify panel you can tweak the camera parameters.
If you use standard or Vray cameras you can change the aperture-focus parameters from the Max render panel in Octane settings.
