moc os x 10.6.8 version problem

I am using imac mac os x 10.6.8 version. My beta version of octane doesnt work, even the demo one can run on same software adn the desktop. How can i solve this porblem?
does anyone can help me?

Hello, probably you need to update your driver and toolkit.
There are some Octane changes between the demo and the beta versions. (cuda 3.2 ---> cuda 4.0)
Please look at the post where you downloaded the beta for details of what to use for Mac.

unfortunatelly i read them all. but i loaded everythin. mac says me 'octane render quit unexpectedly' i reinstalled two times. bur nothing changed. but the demo version is running

i solved the problem , i uninstalled the drivers all abot the display card, and installed again. the problem solved. thanks of your replies.

Ok,
I am thinking though this card is very weak for Octane use because it has only 16 cuda cores and 512mb? vram.
It will probably barely run Octane let alone handle the UI as well. The scenes you can load will be quite basic.
How was the performance for the demo???
Really you need something with 192 cores or more for decent Octane performance and scene navigation.
Octane comes alive with more cuda cores. Unfortunately there are not many choices for Mac.
There is the older GTX285 and new Quadro 4000 (for many $$)...
You might consider using a PC in the future for Octane as there are more nvidia hardware options.
