so i know that octane is compatible with sketchup
im assuming that i can apply the materials in the SU model then export everything to octane to render
am i correct with that?
i have several models that are very complex and have to apply textures to different parts of my model

Hi,

I moved this topic into the sketchup plugin forum,
Although i dont use sketchup myself, i do think the materials are converted to a basic degree during export, with the octane sketchup exporter available in this forum, but you will have to finetune them in the octane userinterface interactively...
Maybe another sketchup user can answer this ?

Its never possible to have exactly the same material output, as both sketchup and octane have very different material systems and concepts...
