Hi all,
Am using the new version of OctaneRender for 3ds Max. Am very impressed !
Just wondering how I would go about using a material from the Live Database while working in the Max Version of Octane. As far as I can tell it can't be accessed from within Max.
Is there a way to save and import ?
Many Thanks

Hi,
I'm happy to build my materials using Octane Nodes in Max, but am wondering if I can use materials from the Live Database ? Perhaps I'm not understanding something ?
Thanks !

Does anyone know when one will be able to access the Live DB materials through the integrated 3ds max plugin? I'm very interested in being able to have this option when working since I just purchased the license for the plugin.
Also, why is it that when I create the "octane daylight system" 3ds max doesn't allow me to choose a location or time of day like the stand alone octane render software does? This becomes an issue since I'm a revit user and when I import the sun from revit using a fbx file it doesn't produce any shadows in the octane render window using the integrated 3ds max plugin; hence the only way for me to get shadows is for me to use the "octane daylight system."
Another thing is that when I use the "octane daylight system" it blocks me for seeing the background image I placed using the 3ds max environment tab. So now I'm not sure how to have shadows from my model and clouds in the sky at the same time.
Thank you for any help.
