Questions about gpu xpander

I am out of my depth talking about such things but I imagine you could set up your 'heavy weight' purpose made render station at home permanently and just access it remotely on the road with your laptop ie transfer your prepared scene over the network and run Octane, pull down the images later to your location. That way you could actually be travelling on to the next job while a render is in progress. Check on it via airport wifi.... dunno...Probably too its more practical than carrying both around and less of a worry security wise.
Someone else will have to help you with those particulars. ;)

@Radiance :I have noticed that the lines below are still present in the GPU-X link on top of Octane site. As the comment mentions a solution at the end of 2010, and as there is no hardware solution provided by RS, maybe removing these outdated lines would be suitable. ;)
Therefore we are currently researching another very promising option which will offer a cheaper, smaller and more flexible hardware solution for our users needs.
We will announce our new hardware compute add-on product at the end of 2010.
