I would like try Octane for 3Dmax but with the same User and password..dont'work. While I'have activated account on my PC in Octane Render and I can use it with C4D perfectly.. Thanks
For OctaneRender standalone you need one account, for OctaneRender for 3DSMax, you need an other one.
When you have, you should see in the customer area two OctaneLive accounts, one for the standalone and one for max.

Apparently some dependencies are lost if you install the plugin on a 32bit 3ds max version and a 64bit pc. I think it's due to the fact that installation folder becomes "C:\Program Files (x86)"

Also guys invest more time in writing the manual, it's a bit confusing sometimes - I got stuck on page 11 for a while!

Pg. 8 is wrong. The tab you need to go to is Common - Assign Renderer

Can you provide directions on what exactly you did in order to fix this problem?

Thanks.

You will find an additional username and password for octane3dsmax plugin under the octane live accounts section in the customer area.

Do you have any plan to support network(didtributed) render?

GDRS I did myself a big xmas gift, I upgraded to max 2102 x64

but i guess that reinstalling the max in "C:\Program Files" should solve the issue, but as I didn't go this way I can't guarantee :?

Happy Xmas! :D :D :D

+1. Should be headless, like all the other stand alone renderers out there (Mental Ray, 3Delight, etc).

You can use any max compatible network queue software or backburner to render animations on a farm using octane as maxs renderer using the new plugin product...

Can it be possible without addtional 3ds Maxs?
I can purchase addtional 3ds Max plugins, and I am going to issue PO of 3 plugins,
but the price of 3ds Maxs are too expensive, if I have to purchase them for plugins.

Happy Xmas! :D :D :D

O my God.... You rock my friend you Rock.

I hope octane team will fix this little bug because reinstalling max and all of the plugins we already have will have as an outcome many plugins license issues and crashes, plus we all ready have changed one license for 3ds max and autodesk allows only 3 changes per workstation.

Anyway merry Xmas to you my friend and a happy new rendering year

Thank you RS for this 3dsmax plugin : it saves me a lot of time in my workflow.
My question :
Is there a chance to see support of .IFL files as Image Texture Environment in 3dsmax ?
