Thank you Populus. :) I'll post some updates in a few days...

EDIT:
Actually, here's a fast wip of yesterdays work; worn-out gloves for the army guy. Don't look a the battle dress, it's still very unfinished... :)

Hey guys, thank you for your comments!

@Populus, the scene so far is ~510k tris in Octane (with the helmet's face protection cover a little more, say ~550k), while the whole memory usage is ~360 MB. I try to be as conservative as possible, since I have still a lot of things to add (rifle, boots, tactical vest, pouches, an environment,...). If there will be RAM left at the end, I can still bake higher resolution normal maps and so give a bit more details to the model.

Current WIP of my Spetsnaz guy. The gear & vest is mostly done, it just need some minor corrections. The rigging & skinning was a pain, because the model is composed of various separated parts that are layered (its wearing a tactical vest over the BDU, knee pads, etc.). But I learned a few tricks on the way, so that's a plus. I still have to do an environment and if time permitting (and the competition won't be canceled  ) some additional gear.

Critics are welcome.
