very nice :)

for best results, use the focus picker and focus on the closest object in your scene.
the camera focal point also works for 3d mode, it defined the depth in your image that's equal to the screen,
eg if you focus it on the closest object visible in your scene, everything will stick into your monitor.
if you focus in on the farthest object in your scene, everything will 'stick out' of your monitor. (which is'nt good, it does'nt give a good effect imo),
so focus on the closest so everything is inside your monitor.

also turning off DOF / camera aperture is best as 3d images can't contain DOF, due to your eyes having to focus on any point in the image, not 1.

I actually used the focus picker to pick the screw in the middle, as I wanted that to be the main focus point, also the point at which the eyes don't have to do as much work to see the easiest...

I also disabled Depth blur for the exact same reasons you mentioned.

I am a bit of a Stereo 3D fanatic, and can remember years ago hand drawing 3D pictures with red and blue pens... Great fun!

heh that makes me remind when i was a little kid, say 6 years old,
i had an IBM PC with a CGA video card, and a genius mouse. (3 button)

I used to draw images in 'Dr Halo' and 'PC Paintbrush' for DOS,
and i used to draw images with red/blue also for 3d anaglyphic viewing :)

where's the time :)

Is it just me or does colour often ruin red/cyan stereo images (and green/purple)

I am trying to find a way to make nice looking black and white images in stereo, still a while to go but I reckon I am getting there...

I get really good depth on all of those. I think I like the piano keys best.

Thanks, yeah the keyboard is my favourite.

I am trying to work out what kinds of images work well in 3D, it seems that parallel lines are good...
