Hi all,

This evening i took a break from coding and i made some renders and had some fun with octane.
it's a commercial model, i did'nt model it, i've no time for that.
it's a pretty good model, although not super-high poly count.

Both images took about 15 minutes each.
I rendered them at 4096x2048 with no filtering enabled, and then i downsized them, giving perfect antialiasing.
This is imo the best/fastest way to render crisp images.

I imported the OBJ's straight from a download, and it took me circa 15 minutes to materialize/light everything.
I used the studio nr 5 HDR that comes packaged with the octane render releases for lighting.

Tomorrow i'll render a few more angles.

I'll be submitting them to the competition although i won't win as i'll be in the judges, but i'm just submitting it anyways ;)

i won't win, i'm just submitting to get the competition going a bit, it's quite quiet.
I can't win / be selected as i'll be in the judge panel.

it's just red glass (specular) with red transmission and a higher IOR of plastic, about ~1.6

here's the high res ones...
they aren't as good as the model has too low polycount, so you can see some faceting on contours...

i'm going to render a more complex model soon, when i have some time off ;)
