Sure - fine. Give them a break - no problem. But it only takes seconds to post on the forum to keep people updated. Frustration is what drives some of the spikier posts. Silence feeds the frustration.

It seems to be the way of the internet startup these days. Set a release date and then go mute when it's not realised. Maybe the broad answer is to release info when the product is more ready to ship.

But it's still the first of december and they still have a few hours to hit the deadline so maybe....

Yes you have a point there my friend but again belive me they propably want to reliase it more than we do, so radio silence must have a reason...

i'd say the best release date in general is "when it's done" - not that customers generally swallow that either...

I imagine if they posted an update then people would stop getting tetchy and stop hitting "refresh" every few minutes - even if it's to say that they've hit unexpected walls and it'll be delayed until the blah blah blah or even "check in again in four hours" etc. I am aware of the difficulty of the undertaking and not taking issue with that but rather the lack of an update. After all, it is Refractive who set the release date themselves.

well, they are still sleeping there in down-under the down-under (hopefully ;)); so we might expect some news in ~6 hours at the earliest...
