Hi Guys

When I use the Blender to octane exporter (v1.11) in Blender 2.59, 2.60, 2.60.6 Octane does not launch. There is no error message in the console, Blender creates the ocs file and I can manually open it, but Octane doesn't start. I want to export an animation, so I can't possibly start it manually everytime. I tried installing Octane in 3 different directories, and always pointed to them, nothing.
I tried exporting only selected objects, checked and unchecked create OCS and Write Mat. into OCS, no luck.
Thanks for any help

If you are using the F12 shortcut then you don't seem to be able to use this until the second time you render. That is what I find anyway. So the first time you render after running Blender, use the render image button.

Hopefully this will work.

Hi,

my main software is rhino, but I use Blender from time to time for special tasks. I installed the exporter and it appears as an additional renderer. I created the octane project settings and the octane system settings. But each time I try to render with octane I get a message: Something wrong happened, check the console log. But there is no error in the console log.

Any idea?

Thanks.

If you go to the blender thread and look for the unofficial blender exporter posts, maybe something in there will strike gold. The exporter really does work. You probably have a setting slightly wrong. I assume you have filled in the three fields on the render tab correctly.

Well, I went through the thread but nothing helped me.
I installed Blender 2.60 in the meantime but same result.
Finally I found this in the log:

Does that give you a clue?

Thanks

You probably have a non-ascii character in some of your paths or filename. Neither Blender nor Octane take kindly to strange characters around here... :)
