I noticed it too (yesterday evening, GMT+1) and also experienced two system-wide freezes while rendering (2.55b).

Dunno if it's connected with "status disconnected", but before that I never experienced Octane freezing my whole system.

I'm also 'offline' over here, and can't seem to get it 'online'.

I too am offline and can not render a new image. Where is RS? Paying customers can not render, and some have deadlines to meet. If you pay for software, you expect support. Where is RS on this issue?

2.52 is the latest "stable" beta, while 2.55b is the latest "testing" version. See here for 2.55b

hi everyone,

Please refer to: http://www.refractivesoftware.com/forum ... 24&t=10375

Even if the server was down for a moment, there should be no problems using Octane Render if one sticks to one version. It is only when you are transitioning between versions, because Octane Render needs to connect to our server to re-authenticate your license.

Version 2.55 and 2.55b are test release candidates that have not been publicly released. If you notice, it is under the 'Release Candidate Testing Forum' rather than at the 'Commercial Product News & Releases (Download here)' Forum.

Cheers...

Edit: Thanks to matej :) for holding the fort while the marines were preoccupied
