awesome shot, not only for the render but for what means in integration, also, as a minor complain, you could have added some fog in the back for better depth perception.....
..... and lol on the camera name btw ;P

how many minutes to render that shot?
Does Octane for Max include a vraymtl converter?
How many minutes to load this scene in the gpu?
Regards

It looks great, I have a few questions: did I hear in the video somewhere support for Vray materials or was this just a fevered dream? WRT instancing, do you mean instancing in the 'traditional' sense (take a tree, instance it a thousand times and lose no memory) or instancing on the graphic card so as not to need to reload the scene frame by frame for animation? (Or maybe both?) Are displacement maps in development? Object motion blur? Can you mix the sunlight system with HDRIs? What are this weeks winning lottery numbers?
I'm watching a 720p frame grind its way through Vray2 as I write. I mean it's nice, but not something I want to wait an hour for... Roll on December...

"Batch render fully animated scenes using max's render engine workflow, optionally using any 3ds max compatible network render queue software."
what means?
Can I use Autodesk Backburner and a second Octane for Max license on another node gpu based machine (workstation)?

I apologize if this was already asked, but from what i understood this "plugin will be sold separably from octane render. If so my question is "will it be possible to change my current octane licence to this 3dsmax plugin licence?". I use 3dsmax and my workflow is a lot easier if i can use octane directly inside 3dsmax.
Thanks
Thanks
afaik the options areGLmig wrote:I apologize if this was already asked, but from what i understood this "plugin will be sold separably from octane render. - octane standalone
- octane plugin for 3ds max
- octane + 3ds max plugin bundle
so you just need to buy the plugin in addition to your existing octane license...

But if i buy the octane plugin for 3ds max what will i do with my existing octane render licence? sell it? send it to the shelf?afaik the options are
- octane standalone
- octane plugin for 3ds max
- octane + 3ds max plugin bundle

... Or did i misunderstood? the octane plugin for 3ds max doesn't need the octane standalone to work right?
...im sad...

you just need to have both licenses anyway. if you already own a octane license, you only need the addtional plugin license. of course the max plugin doesn't need the standalone version to run, but you still need to own 2 licenses. if somebody doesn't own an octane license yet, and buyes the bundle, he'll get two licenses (octane + plugin), for a slightly cheaper price - that's the way it works...GLmig wrote:But if i buy the octane plugin for 3ds max what will i do with my existing octane render licence? sell it? send it to the shelf?afaik the options are

& look at the current beta prices - there's imo no need to be sad
