Which better suits octane render:
- two geforce 550 with 4gb ddr5 in SLI - http://geizhals.at/673480
or
- one geforce 560 with 2 gb ddr5? - http://geizhals.at/642410

550 has 128 bit memory bandwidth while 560 has 256. With 550 I get more memory (4gb) and 384 (2x192) CUDA processors, while 560 has 336 CUDAs.
Two 550 are just a little bit more expensive than 560.

i did some benchmarks a while ago; may help to decide: http://t3net.at/misc/octane_bench1.pdf
the point is maybe, if you really need the 4gb, or can get along with only 2; also the standard 1/2gb 550 ti has a 192bit interface (the one i benched) - lowering it to 128bits may degrade the performance by a good margin... and i don't think the 4gb card is really available, even if ba computer says it is ;)
The obvious is that which is never seen until someone expresses it simply

1x i7 2600K @5.0 (Asrock Z77), 16GB, 2x Asus GTX Titan 6GB @1200/3100/6200
2x i7 2600K @4.5 (P8Z68 -V P), 12GB, 1x EVGA GTX 580 3GB @0900/2200/4400

I would recommend the GTX560 and another one at a later point.
