It´s nearly the same with the linux and the windows builds. Two different versions, the api´s (windows/linux) for the plugins are the next two.gabrielefx wrote: what means? Octane was rewritten? The bundled standalone + Max core don't share the same engine? Are two separated engines?
No, i thought, from the info given in vid, the Octane standalone engine remains and the Plugin integrates that (same) engine within Max. So A) the standalone engine remains B) Plugin integrates Max and the Engine.face wrote:It´s nearly the same with the linux and the windows builds. The price is ridiculous, because you can define your scene in Max and then render it, at the same time you can export the same scene to Octane standalone with a different camera and with the second license you launch two renderings. Not bad.relox wrote:my question is the plugin will be 99 euros and it doesnt matter if im a customer? so the plugin sold separately and the new come of the 2.6 octane render i have to buy it again the license? or i can upgrade it free the new 2.6 octane version? thats my question so i can buy it the plugin and update the version of awesome octane render
