I am happy to see that so many other people are here requesting a Rhino plugin. Feel free to post here to show that there is demand: http://www.refractivesoftware.com/forum ... =41&t=9575
I hope Sam will be the man who gets his hands on this. He was always helpful to set up the exporter for the standalone version of Rhino.
Lets hope for a bunch of different Plug-Ins around Christmas!

This is awesome! Congratulations to you and your team.
A couple of questions:
1) Will we have easy access to the Octane LiveDB materials from this plugin?
2) If I'm using the Darktree procedural texture plugin, will these textures work with the Octane plugin?
Are you planning to do some kind of early bird pricing in the first week of launch or a discount for the first 100 buyers as you had recently hinted at?

						Oh no.
Above it states:
After i first bought my octane license i mainly used it with c4d. Works great for me.
(agree that integration with XSI will be awesome as well
Funny to see everybody requesting this plugin for their favourite 3d package.
Maybe i can speak for everybody here to say "I want this for my favourite 3d package ...[fill in here]..."
Great development over there guys!.
By the way will this impact the maximum material importing problems i encountered several times due to CUDA limitation?

I think it's better to buy a new bundle license... The price is ridiculous, because you can define your scene in Max and then render it, at the same time you can export the same scene to Octane standalone with a different camera and with the second license you launch two renderings. Not bad.relox wrote:my question is the plugin will be 99 euros and it doesnt matter if im a customer? so the plugin sold separately and the new come of the 2.6 octane render i have to buy it again the license? or i can upgrade it free the new 2.6 octane version? thats my question so i can buy it the plugin and update the version of awesome octane render

That brings tears into my eyes. octane is amazing, no doubt, but that really makes it unbeatable! Please, please build something like that for Rhino ASAP! Thank you.

what means? Octane was rewritten? The bundled standalone + Max core don't share the same engine? Are two separated engines?face wrote:The integrated versions are different from the standalone version.
