yes, ofc :) . . . i didnt reach anykind of limit with my gtx 460 card . . . but i spent around 300 euros when i buy it and i get 336 cuda core which is ok
Rendering outdoors is ok, and i can whait for that type of renderings but when you start working with interiors then its a different story.
I simply cant whait 20 or more hours for 1 "f" picture :) (ofc not all rendering take 20 hours)

now gtx 590 costs around 527 euros which is ofc much more but speed is what we r looking for and working with 1000 CUDA cores is totaly diffeent story.

If some1 of you buy gtx460 and start rendering, then you will remember me . . . :) u will feel what ive been talking here !

Ofc, in future there will be more programs using CUDA cores so buy right card . . . (speed, temperature, nosie, elect.costs)

Speed is the most important in our universe ! Pay it and enjoy the ride !

and im whaiting too see what will happen in 2012 year . . . new nvidia chip and probably solar storm at the end of year :)

Buying single gtx 460 didnt make me only slower... i will also loose more money updating my system...
+ time that i spent rendering + time chanig my system .... i lost 3 months of my life whaiting for renderings and probably one or two days when i start changing my system specs :)

But, is it possible to mix a Quadro and GTX card in the same machine?

I mean, if he want to put a quadro card for modeling and system and the GTX for Octane, the drivers are not the same, he can have some problems or not?

there's a problem about drivers, octane is only able to render with one kind at same time.
