I just put together a new build due to a great sale at the local computer store (I'm a sucker for upgrades.) Part of the upgrade was a new case (Corsair Carbide 400R) in order to get better air flow to my super hot GTX 470's. I ended up getting two ARCTIC COOLING Accelero XTREME Plus kits. They ended up being around $50 a piece.
Before I added them, even with AS-5 on the GTX470's and seven 120 mm case fans, they still got to ~85 to 90C when rendering with Octane.
Now, they peak out at the low to mid 60's for the first card and mid 40's for the second.
The coolers are HUGE. Not only are they very long but they also take up 3 slots. So, to use two of them, you have to have the right spaced motherboard and a big case.
Just wanted to share in case other people are looking to cool their rendering monsters.
Installed New Coolers on my GTX 470's - INCREDIBLE

I got 1 GTX580 1GB by Zotac and the monitored temperature is 85-90°, the second card is a GTX580 Gainward 3GB with the heatpipe cooler, the temperature at full load is 60°.
The difference is in how the cooling system is designed. Zotac takes air from the back, the Gainward from the side.
Unfortunately I can't put 2 Gainward on my two pci-e slots because the fans occupy more of 2 slots space.
Evga built a new 3GB GTX580 Classified that takes air from the back and top, this is the best solution to stripe 4 GTX580.
