as this question arises every now and then, you may search the forum. i'll make a post about possible reasons (as far as known) later...
The obvious is that which is never seen until someone expresses it simply

1x i7 2600K @5.0 (Asrock Z77), 16GB, 2x Asus GTX Titan 6GB @1200/3100/6200
2x i7 2600K @4.5 (P8Z68 -V P), 12GB, 1x EVGA GTX 580 3GB @0900/2200/4400

... can you explain that? i'm currently writing together a post about this problem and possible solutions, but "watchdog timer disabling" is new to me ;)

Hi, I just had the same problem on a render (actually I got it twice).

But the difference is that I only have one GPU (580). The scene I'm rendering is not that heavy and the memory is far from being saturated.
The problem occurred approximately after 10-15 hours rendering : I let octane render all night and it was still running fine this morning, but after having used the computer (mostly surfing using firefox) I noticed the engine didn't response any more and saw the (failed) label.

Any ideas ?

It shows :
Direct2D enabled: true
DirectWrite enabled: true (6.1.7601.17563)

I'm currently rendering and surfing, the GPU has not failed yet.
