Hello

I downloaded Octane render for the first time yesty and tried to import some .obj files dowloaded from the net without problem.

I created a relatively simple volume extruded out of a Bezier curve myself, but Octane (demo) crashes when I try to import it.

Can someone help?

Mind that I am a total beginner, in the 3D space and with Octane :D

Thanks in advance!

Hi, we need more info to help you.
OS
GFX card, Driver
Your 3D application, Blender, Maya ...
Look in to manual for export settings for different 3D Applications.

Cheers, mib.

Thank you,
I have Windows 7x64, GFX 460M, I installed the driver version 280.26 but nothing changed.
I model in Blender 2.59 and export using the settings in the manual.
I tried exporting a simple UV sphere and that didn't work either. I only managed to import a cube.
Funny thing, the DemoSuite works fine...
I will try with the Developer Driver version 275.33, maybe it will work.

I'm actually a knob, I discovered I have to define material first for each object before exporting

seems to be working now!

thank you
