I tried loading octane 9000.exe and got the octane9000.exe system error "The program can't start because cudart.dll is missing from your computer." The same error when I tried octane8000.exe.

I have a geforce GTS 240 video card which the nvidia site says supports CUDA.

What is my problem?

1) Were you able to properly run the demo?

2) What NVIDIA driver version are you running?

3) The Cudart.dll is included in the release. Can you confirm that it's in the same directory as the octane9000.exe?

You will need cudart.dll in the same folder as the exe, if you don't have it, I have attached it below. If you do have it I am not entirely what needs doing to fix your problem..

I recommend watching the Alpha video on the video tab and then have a read through the manual.

Then let us know if you need any further assistance.

I'm reading the manual and executing a new file as I read.

"New guy" comments with regard to the videos: The sound is very weak (just me?) and the others without sound are not of much use since I don't know what's going on.

It's very clear that my next move is the new video card. The performance of my GTS240 loading the .obj file of 213806 triangles:
20 megasamples/sec
40 fps

Waiting for the new card aside, when done loading (~5 min) and clicking on the .obj file in the Graph Editor, nothing shows in the Render Viewport.

I exported a scene created in SketchUp Pro as shown in the attachment.
