Yo,
Just having fun modeling and texturing. I am hoping to use this asset in the competition so i want to make it even better. suggestions?
I am still blown away by the performance of Octane. These images were rendered at 4000x4000 and the model was 250k polys
The second image was rendered in under a minute on my crusty GTX 465!
Thank you Blender Guru for the great tutorial that inspired this.
Let me know what you think!
thanks
Gernade

The hand somehow doesn't match with the bomb body, maybe because it doesn't look as rusty/detailed as the bomb itself?

You could try to scratch more the handle and less the body of the frag

the body texture/bump is magnificent, but try and add some color to it

Hi,
What I really find interesting in your picture - on top of the great modelling and texturing done here - is the quality of your lighting
How did you do it?
Sun/Sky environment?
Thanks and - again - that's great work.

Thanks for the replies. I think all the comments are good and i will keep working on it.
As for the light set up it was very simple. Just two rectangles opposite each other on either side of the grenade. One light was orange and one blue. Thats it.
