No. If you start Blender from the commend line you'll get output in that console. You are probably on Win, I'm guessing there is a way to open a console window alongside starting Blender? The only way I know is to open a console yourself, browse to where you have Blender installed and run the .exe from the console.

+1 for better camera controls - especially 3D navigation with the mouse (but that's already on the TODO list, AFAIK)

can you still use 2.46b alongside this version? With the understanding that 2.46b file cannot be open/used in 2.52 but so that you don't need to throw away/ rebuild all the files done in the old version.

Thanks.

Though I hope to see shadow/matte material someday (Is it planned for 1.0?) it's the minor interface/workflow tweaks like non moving viewport while paused etc. that make this version much more usable as a product.
Compared to a few versions before - a pleasure to work with.

Yes, you still can use beta 2.46b (on the same machine). You should also be able to load beta 2.46b projects in beta 2.52. The opposite way will not work, since we have added new stuff to beta 2.52 which can't be loaded into beta 2.46b.

hi,

thanks for the new release !

but I am using a Mac with OS10.5.8.
This release works with CUDA toolkit 4 which requires OS10.6.

Can this release work with an older CUDA toolkit (3.2 for example) and driver?

best and thanks !

The fundamental architectural changes are more or less complete now for Octane, so what's next? Can we get a list of what priorities are for the next release?

Plus, any basic info about animation support in Octane (fbx or mdd or a proprietary format, etc)?

Thanks.
