Hello everybody,
This is my first post, apologies if I put the topic in the wrong section of the forum.
I have not yet purchased Octane but intend to after taking possession of my new PC, provided the demo runs as expected.
I am going to use Octane with Cinema 4D, Maya and Houdini. For C4D and Maya, plug-ins are available but not it seems for Side Effects Houdini.
I was wondering if anybody had any experience using Octane with Houdini 11 and if so, they would care to offer their opinion on the matter.
While I am asking questions, I would also be interested in some evaluation on using Octane for animation. Smooth sailing or any glaring issues?
Thanks in advance for any replies.
Houdini?

You can definitely use Octane with c4D and maya... but not houdini. Octane currently does not support houdini and still have no future plans to do that. However, you can export to obj from houdini and then import the obj to Octane.
