I have tested the Octane Animation capabilities with a small logoanimation.

Rendering took about 3-4 Minutes / FullHD Frame with my GTX 570 which is much faster then even biased renderengines as Vray and C4D Renderer rendered it on my i7 980X (6x3.33 GHz) CPU.

Conclusion:
Octane is not only a great renderer for Architecture and Productviz but also fast and usable for animations (especially in the direct lighting mode). The only drawback I had was the missing of Object-Motionblur which would have made the scene look even better.

I hope you like my small test!

For more Info just ask!

You can render a motion vector pass from your host app and use it to drive motionblur.
You can also use post vector lookup blur engines.
Plenty of options.

@ 3form:
Thank you very much!

@ [gk]:
Thanks for the suggestion.
But the post motion blur mostly doesn´t match my quality standards!
You can render a motion vector pass from your host app and use it to drive motionblur.
This is right but it only works if you have no DOF in the renders. It looks really weird if the MB is sharp at edges when the DOF has blured them in the beauty pass!
You can also use post vector lookup blur engines.
Again right. But they loose grip at flat surfaces like these in my animation besides they produce artifacts when things are moving fast and in different directions.

Thank you very much for your opinion.
What I´m trying to say is that 3D M-Blur has the best Quality without artifacting. And every other solution comes with a disadvantage that I´m not willing to pay!

@Refracty:
Thank you very much. Appreciate it!

it should be logic when using 2 different engines to render a z map out with a vector pass.
