I can no longer select materials from a list by right clicking in 2.49. Anyone else have that issue?
Occassionlly I also get no ability to move around my scene. Not consistent and eventually after a number of trys I get responsiveness back.

Is anyone else having this issue or perhaps I have some mouse issues of my own

I have seen this happen one time only in 2.49. No material window pops up. Moving the camera in another position fixed it. Maybe that can work for you too?

Btw, if the camera get "stuck", you can disable the material picker to get the camera running again.

Yeh, I've had this occur as well.. Initially I thought..bummer!! that was a really cool feature, why remove it.. but it seems to be a bit of a bug.
Don't know regards the camera move... but certainly, it will work sometimes and not others, I haven't spent much time with the latest ver lately, been concentrating on getting my modo skills up.

Cheers!

Yes, I simply un-select any active pick tool to regain free movement

Regarding the right mouse material selection problem: Since beta 2.48 Octane doesn't show a popup dialog, if there is only one material, but select it immediately. The idea was to remove one mouse click from the work flow. As many people seem to have problems with that, with beta 2.49b Octane will again always show the popup menu.

Regarding the navigation problem: Yes, there is a bug in beta 2.49 that breaks the viewport navigation if any of the picking tools is enabled and you try to rotate/pan/zoom left or up with the mouse. That will be fixed with beta 2.49b, too.

Cheers,
Marcus
