I usually load them into Blender's video sequencer.

Was getting tired of running AE just to view PNG sequences - which need to be preview rendered... said "screw this" and decided to finally find a sequence player... found this one:

http://mateuszstaniszew.pl/index.php?menu=04&other=04

It is called FISP - Free Image Sequence Player

I have not tried the other ones listed above, but this thing is perfect. Supports 32bit alpha. Scrubs, plays backward, lightweight/non install, 32bit and 64bit available... what more could one want?

I searched, found, downloaded and was using this sweet lil' app in under two minutes...

I also use Blender's video editor. It not only allows me to see the image sequences but I can also do some effects and compositing.
