Hi all

Will instancing be supported for scattering export from 3ds max 2012 like carbon scatter etc? Will make making grass and carpet easier.
Will there be a native material creator and exporter to octane from 3ds max will make things more simpler I think?

cheers

Instancing is currently not supported, but planned. How this will be implemented by the export plugins is not finalized yet, since we are currently working on other areas. A native material export from 3ds max to Octane is hard to achieve since materials in Octane behave differently than in materials 3D applications. We will continue to improve things in that area, which will become one of the main focuses soon.

Cheers,
Marcus
